Crossworks Technologies Team

President / CEO

Wayne A. Cross

Mr. Wayne A. Cross founded Crossworks Technologies, Inc. (CWTI), a logistics, and training services company in 2009. He continues to set company strategy and manage the day to day operations.  Mr. Cross certified CWTI as a SDB, HUBzone, SDVOSB and has been able to grow the company from 7 employees to over 37. Prior to establishing CWTI Mr. Cross served as an active duty Naval Flight Officer for over twenty years serving in various positions such as Air Operations Officer USS Carl Vinson, Command and Control Assessment Lead Joint Forces Command, Joint Warfighting Center Suffolk VA, Carrier Airwing Three Air Plan writer and Tanking Subject Matter Expert, and various squadron flying assignments. Mr. Cross retired with the rank of commander. Mr. Cross holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida State University, a Masters Degree in Military Operational Arts and Science from the Air Command and Staff College, and has earned multiple awards and decorations from his military service.

Director of Operations

Donald B. Simmons III

Donald B. Simmons, III is responsible for program execution, resource management and client relationship. He is a retired U.S. Navy Captain with extensive acquisition experience. While on active duty he served as Principal Military Director of Logistics at the Naval Air Systems Command, as Director of Aviation Maintenance, Material and Readiness at Naval Air Forces, as Commanding Officer of Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), and as Commanding Officer Fleet Readiness Center Western Pacific (FRCWP). He has extensive experience running aviation maintenance activities throughout the pacific including Australia, Guam, Japan, Korea, and Singapore. He is an alumnus of Flagler College and holds a Master of Science degree in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Human Resources Manager

Tonge English

Tonge English is responsible for providing human resources solutions to management and employees in the areas of payroll/benefits administration, compensation/classification administration, talent management, and compliance. Tonge has worked in local/state governments, privately-held companies, and large-sized organizations. Previously, she has managed recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, compliance, compensation/classification activities.   She holds a B.S. from Tuskegee University and a M.S. degree from Troy State University.  Also, she is a certified professional that holds her Professional in Human Resources (PHR). 

Project Manager

Stephen Kehrt

Stephen Kehrt is responsible for the program execution of our largest contract and pricing on all proposals. He is a retired Navy Commander with strategic leadership experience involving tactical aviation maintenance, readiness, manpower, training, program/project management, life cycle logistics, sustainment and all aspects of aircraft and related component maintenance. He has program office, Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level experience and was the Maintenance Department Head at TOPGUN. Additionally, he has extensive international Operational and Intermediate Level aviation maintenance experience. He graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Master of Science degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aviation/Aerospace Management and Safety Systems.

Project Coordinator

Daryl Rice, Jr.

Daryl Rice, Jr. is responsible for supervising our training and facilities support contracts. He expertly oversees and facilitates each project to ensure all task are completed on time and within budget. Prior to joining CWTI he held managerial positions in the hospitality industry throughout the United States. Additionally, he has experience in the finance industry and a strong sales background. He is an Alumnus of Virginia State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management.
